Obedient To The Word

We are hosting our first COED fellowship!

This month's guest speaker is Co-founder of Awakened Souls Ministry, brother David Trevino. He will be sharing a message that reiterates on our calling as Christ followers to commit to a life of "Obedience".

Foundation scripture:

Psalms 146: 3-4

"We can never look to men for help: no matter who they are, they can't save us for even our great leaders fail and fall. They too are mortals who one day die. At death the spirits of all depart and their bodies return to dust. "

In today's fast-paced lifestyle, we tend to not put emphasis on the foundation of the word. Much like a house, obedience is the foundation of what keeps us in sync with Gods blessings.

In Jesus Christ, we find the perfect model of obedience.

Genesis 22:18, "And through your descendants all the nations of the earth will be blessed all because you have obeyed me.

Salvation is a free gift of God, and we can do nothing to merit it and obedience flows from a heart of gratitude for the grace we have received from the Lord. Repeatedly we read in the Bible that God blesses and rewards obedience. However, when we obey God, we show our trust and faith in him.
