"Be The Salt"

Are you preserving your past or preserving your future?  Other than taste, salt is used for many reasons in the bible and is referenced numerous times. We will be discussing its preserving qualities. Salt was used symbolically in lasting covenants in the Old Testament showing God’s desire for his people to be the preservative of the earth. Several New Testament references to salt is a calling to our mission as followers of Christ to “purify” our world. We can choose to conform to this world and preserve our past, or preserve the Word of God that will in turn, preserve our future.

“Whoever tries to keep their life will lose it, and whoever loses their life will preserve it.” Luke 17:33
